By now, hopefully you know 90% of a cat’s diet should be lean protein. There are a lot of reasons why a raw meat diet is better for your cat (please refer to our nutrition guide for additional information). If you’re ready to shift your cat to this regime, the best bet is to do it gradually. There are several good frozen raw meat foods on the market that you simply defrost. Start mixing-it into their wet food (if they’re on wet food already, if not, transitioning to wet food is your first step), and try cooking the meat just a little bit to entice their senses.
