PRODUCT INFORMATION

Get your frisky feline pouncing and jumping after this soaring feather toy. Designed by Jackson Galaxy to engage your cat in play that appeals to their natural instincts by simulating the hunt.

Tips: Attach the air prey feather to the wand and let fly through the air to simulate the hunt for airborne targets. Daily play with the Galaxy Wand will get your cat's mojo running!

  1. Guide the feather toy so it behaves like prey: flying through the air, not bopping your cat on the head (yes, some have done that).
  2. Use Jackson's "boil & simmer" method to give your cat a great play session: allow them to rest between more intense bouts of feather-chasing.
  3. End your play session with a serving of food to mimic 'the raw cat' routine: hunt, catch, kill, then eat.
  4. Your cat will usually follow this with two more natural activities: grooming, and sleeping.

    Air Prey Telescoping Wand

Posted by Cynthia on Dec 16th 2017

My cat, Ivan the Terrible, has had feline herpes since he was a kitten. He is now 5 and I have given him dedicated nursing to keep him at his healthiest best. However, in the last year, he definitely slowed down in physical activity and was not stimulated with the usual cat toys. He is not even interested in cat nip because he cannot smell it. I saw this toy in Pet Smart a few weeks ago and decided to give it a try. It is said that some cats are psychic and Ivan has certainly proven that. I took the packaged toy out of the store bag and before I could even get the toy out of its packaging, Ivan was jumping around and making excited noises!!!! He never responded like that to other packaged toys! He has pestered me constantly in the last week to play with him, and I am delighted that he is finally getting the stimulation for healthy exercise!! I have the toy with the plastic feathers which he loves and it has held up well for us. Perhaps other users have fierce cats that can decimate anything. I just know if this one breaks I will buy another one immediately! He deserves to have the mental and physical stimulation since he is chronically ill! Thanks from the bottom of my heart for making this toy!

Channels my cat's hunting instincts every time

Posted by Carmen Dunphy on Nov 27th 2017

Never fails, I get this toy out and my cat is a prisoner to movement, his killer instincts kick in full drive. More sturdy than I expected since I've used other lower quality inexpensive toy wands, used it daily for a week and it isn't showing any signs of wear/tear yet.

I'd pay more for better quality

Posted by Suzi on Oct 20th 2017

My husband used the wand with our one kitty and, literally, within 5 minutes of taking it off the packaging card, the string broke. You can't let the kitty loop their claw through it and pull, or it will snap that string for sure. I take greater care when I use it to play with both our cats. The replication of real bird feather movement is amazing. I would definitely pay a little more for a stronger construction. The cats love it and I have fun too; I just get nervous they're going to break it every time we play.

    Mixed thoughts...

First let me say that I am thankful to have won this at CatCon Worldwide through Petsmart this year. This toy brought my 3 youngest cats together. It bought out the kitten in them. This pleases me so much. The durability is not as quite as I expected. They tore the blue feathers off within 2 1/2 days. They still beg for it and play with the remaining plastic fringe. I understand this is replaceable. But I'm not sure I want to pay for the replacement plus shipping to have it only last a few days. Thank you for bringing my cats back together for play time. This means a lot me.

This toy left my cats panting from all the fun!

Posted by Jamy Fulton on Aug 30th 2017

I now understand why this is the go to toy that Jackson always uses on his show. My cats LOVE it! They played for over a half hour and were so worn out they were panting. But, they still wanted to play. I stopped because I was afraid they were going to have a stroke. It was so much fun for them and for me to see them jumping 4 feet in the air to catch the "birdy". Would highly recommend this toy!

    Not for cats who pull

Posted by Nichole Liq on Aug 16th 2017

My cat loved this toy and would never stop playing with it. We had to hide it from him so he wouldn't play with it 24/7. However whenever my cat caught the toy he would try to walk off with it and pull on the toy. The retractor part broke after 2 days of playing and the pole bent. After 4 days of playing he snapped the pole in half. He loved this toy however it is not built strong enough to last with playful cats. Very disappointed that we spent $15 on a toy for it to only last 4 days:(

I love this toy so does Miss Blue!

Posted by Tiffany on Jul 15th 2017

My Persian Blue Tabby, Miss Blue Paws of the South can't get enough of this toy. She is a year and half years old and is gravitated towards it. She evens purrs when playing! For me, the toy has connected myself towards Miss Blue more than ever. Even if the wand my break in the future, it's worth the purchase.

    Catching the Birdie

My Keiki is quite the huntress! She can't get enough of this toy and searches the house for it. I have to put it away when we are not playing.

    Loved the concept, reality sucks

Posted by Tara Chambless on Jun 8th 2017

I just received my 3rd wand, the first 2 had broken rods within weeks but my cat loved the feathers so much I attached them to strings until I was ready for a new wand. It just came in, the "feathers" are stiff pieces of plastic that my cat won't go near. WTH, did you change to save money? Well, I hope you saved some because you lost just lost a customer!
