It’s sad but true – black cats have been truly vilified throughout our history, from mythology to being burned at the stake as witches to.. well every superstition you can think of. I’ll take you through the journey of finding out…are black cats bad luck?

If you don’t already know, I am blessed to currently have 2 black cats in my home, Mowgli and Penelope. And I could not imagine my life being any more full because of them. Sadly, black cats are among the last to be adopted in shelters, whether due to being overlooked or, believe it or not, the superstitions surrounding them.

Now that we’ve gone through dispelling all the myths about them,  I would encourage you to consider adopting one (or two!) from your location shelter or rescue. I preparation for their arrival, or to treat the current cats in your home, here are a few of my favorite products:
