Foods That Are Toxic to Cats: From Deadly to Upset Stomachs

Cat’s digestive systems are extremely sensitive and evolved for a very specific diet.

From foods that are absolute no-no’s to some that will cause stomach upset, in this video, I lay it all out on the table.

TOXIC FOODS FOR CATS

Alcohol

Caffeine

Chocolate

Xylitol

Onion & Garlic

Most Baked Goods including Bread

Baking Soda & Baking Powder

Yeast

Dairy Products - The vast majority of cats are lactose intolerant

So no Milk, Cheese, Cream

Grapes & Raisins

Nutmeg or excessive amounts of spice including Salt

Eating Excessive Amounts becomes Toxic but OK in small amounts:

Avocado (inside of avocado ok in small amounts)

Fat (can cause pancreatitis in large amounts)

Tuna (trace amounts of mercury - feed in very small amounts)

Raw Fish (thiamine & mercury)
