I was hesitant to buy this mat at first given the price point, but ultimately decided to after comparing other snuffle mats I saw online and noting the difference in material. To start, most of the other snuffle mats online are marketed towards dogs and used felt as opposed to actual fabric strips, which seemed like over time might break down. I also wasn’t sure that felt would be easy enough for my cat to push around and feared they would get frustrated after a while. That and the fact that the mat was built in a way that seemed to allow for treats to be hidden between the rows of fabric were the ultimate selling points for me. The washability and recycled fabric was the cherry on top. ultimately I’m glad I made the decision I did: the fabric is well-sewn, and the mat is surprisingly sturdy and weightier than you would expect, so it doesn’t shuffle around much when my cat is looking for treats. Jackson didn’t disappoin! If you’re looking for a snuffle mat, I’m telling you that this one is worth the price point and will probably be better quality than the mats you see advertised on amazon
