My smart cat manages to get all the kibble before my fat lazy cat is motivated to try. It would slow down a single cat for sure: challenging because most cats can’t get their whisker box into the slot; they have to use their paw.

Slows down the cats while eating but they are still able to get to the food. Works well!

There is nothing wrong with this well made product. I liked it a lot. It's my silly cats that will not use it. I was very disappointed. I thank you for following up.

I don't feel like it's fair to give this bowl a low rating because it is what it is. But, if you are on the JG site because you have cats, you probably want a smaller product than this bowl. It takes up a lot of space to use and store. It works better than the silicon slowfeeders in some ways--my cat bit holes in those--but it's kind of unattractive and seems (as its name makes apparent) more like a dog product. I did see Messy Mutts as the brand and the size and material and still figured I'd try it. But I kind of regret this purchase for those reasons.
